There is not much complexity to the process of making Minakari. A copper substrate is first selected and shaped by an expert coppersmith. As the base of enamel, this layer is composed of calcium carbonate. The body is then covered with a white glaze using a dipping technique. A metal body can now be adorned in any way, depending on the artist's creativity. We call this step painting with magic colors.
Once the enamel dishes have been painted, they are heated. As a result, the final colors are brought out.
