During the month of January, we were invited to a wedding reception held at a chic downtown nightclub. Following a private ceremony and a tropical honeymoon, this celebration promised to be anything but traditional. With a crowd of good friends, incredible music, and non-stop dancing, it easily became one of the best weddings I've attended in a long time.

Outfit Planning for a Nightclub Reception

Planning what to wear offered a rare and exciting opportunity since I hadn't stepped inside a nightclub in several years. I wanted an outfit that felt edgier than a standard traditional reception attire. Factoring in the January winter weather, it was the perfect excuse to break out my favorite over-the-knee boots and embrace bolder trends like leather, suede, and fringe.
